Description

This trail system lies on the edge of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area. You will get beautiful views of the Red Rocks while also being able to ride in very similar terrain. The trails range from small flat washes to a few small rock gardens. Mountain bikers ranging in skill levels from beginner to expert will be able to find a trail that suits their needs or challenges them. This trail system is very popular amongst local hikers, trail runners and mountain bikers.

There are several other large mountain bike trail systems nearby that can be easily connected to the Cottonwood Valley trail system; Cowboy Trails, Bear’s Best, Southwest Ridge, Enterprise and the Union Trails.

The Blue Dimond Loop trail is one of the more popular trails within the system. It extends most of the Cottonwood North Trail System connecting several smaller trails to make one main loop. From this loop, you can connect to the entire trail system.

Other Information

For equestrian specific information visit Nevada Horse Trails!

Given that portions of the Spring Mountains are designated wilderness, only hikers and equestrians are allowed within the wilderness boundary. Motorized and mechanized use is only permitted on surrounding non-wilderness trails. Please be respectful of the wilderness boundary and only travel on designated roads and trails for your activity type. Horses are allowed and only certified weed free hay can be brought in. Currently, USDA Forest Service policy considers E-Bikes to be motorized vehicles, and therefore, are restricted to roads and trails designated for motorized use.
