This mostly flat paved walking trail winds around the Searchlight Community Center with beautiful desert views, including Spirit Mountain. There are benches and workout stations spaced along the trail, including a picnic area and informational placards covering local nature as well as the history of the area.

The paved, spacious parking lot at the trailhead is shared between the Searchlight Library, Searchlight Community Center, and the Searchlight Historic Museum. There are additional parking options in the Rex Bell Jr. Trail Park lot north of the Searchlight Community Park parking lot.
