Wedekind Regional Park is a 250-acre park located within Sparks. This park is one of the last remaining areas of significant open space within the city of Sparks and features trailheads and an outdoor classroom where children are able to learn about nature and the history of mining. This area also serves as a designated "off leash" area for dogs. Two viewing areas have been places along the trails offering shaded relief and sweeping views of the valley.
