The La Madre Foothills Recreation Area is located at the foothills of the La Madre Mountain range to the west of Las Vegas. This recreation are is popular for locals and is now under official management of the Bureau of Land Management. The OHV routes create the opportunity to connect several already popular recreation sites such as Kyle Canyon and Harris Springs while protecting existing wilderness areas and cultural sites.
Limited off-road recreation is allowed within Red Rock Canyon but only on designated roads and washes.
