Description

From the high mountain environment of Tahoe City to the city of Truckee, through the Truckee River Canyon and down into the Meadows area of Reno, Sparks and beyond, this river provides a wide range of paddling experiences.  There are several challenging rapids in the canyon, along with two improved water parks in the downtown Reno and Sparks areas.  For a relaxing float, the lower reaches of the Truckee are great for a quiet day of rafting through the recently-restored McCarran Ranch area.
