Located about 30 miles west from downtown Las Vegas, this area offers a great stacked loop system of non-motorized recreation trails. The La Madre Mountain Wilderness features a
breathtaking array of canyons, ridges, and mountain peaks sprawled across 47,180 acres. common wildlife include big horn sheep, mule deer and even a small herd of elk!
OHV use is located nearby but is not permitted on this trail system.

Bureau of Land Management - Las Vegas Field OfficeThere are two maintained parking lots with trail access, Buckskin Cliff Shadows Trailhead and Cliff Shadows Open Desert Park. Both have trailer parking, restrooms and shade structures. The Buckskin Cliff Shadows Trailhead parking area has a horse corral and water available.
