Description

The trail system begins at the parking area near the campsites. The trails are constructed from old burro trails and range in skill levels from beginner to advanced. The trail system will soon be expanded to include areas outside of Spicer Ranch to the surrounding BLM land.

The trails are not shaded and are best used in the early morning or evening when the weather is cooler. Snow may cover the trails in the winter, so plan your route ahead of time before heading out. Shaded picnic tables at the campsite make for a great place to take a break during the heat of the afternoon, and warm showers and heated bathroom help warm you up on a cold winter day.

Other Information

Spicer Ranch is open 24/7, 365 days a year. There are no day use or campsite fees, but there is a donation box. Keep in mind this is private property so please be respectful of your surroundings and Leave No Trace.

Several mountain biking events and concerts are held here throughout the year. Check the Spicer Ranch Trail System page on the Trails Oasis Valley website for more information on how you can attend.

Trailhead Information

The trails are located just 10 minutes from downtown Beatty. To reach the trailhead, take US-95 north out of Beatty. Go 6.9 miles, and take a right onto Boiling Pot Road. The entrance for Spicer Ranch is marked by a bright yellow bicycle on top of the entrance gate. Continue along this dirt road until you see a fence lined with mountain bikes on top and keep right. Follow the fence line and signs for event area. This will take you to an open parking area about a half-mile from US-95, with a grassy campsite area, picnic tables, and bathrooms.
